Phone ST head office and ask to speak to Dr Potgieter. If she's "busy" then get a fax number and send her a letter in person. Tell her you are cancelling because of their misleading advertising and demand that it be done by close of business. Send a copy to Selloane Khosi ( selloane at asasa.org.za) and the ISPA.
Let us know if there are any problems. She has admitted there is a problem, so she can fix it. If you live in JHB you could always make an appointment to go and see her. Be sure to take your modem with you. Then you can have the satisfaction of persoanlly shoving it ...

Go to www.transunionitc.co.za and get your credit profile. It costs around R50 and is worth it. If any of the information is wrong, they are legally bound to correct it. You can see what info they have, as well as who is checking up on you. Their site has some other useful information on it.
