Cancellation number for Classic users

For your convenience (and as I had to sit waiting for 20 minutes to get through to someone at the call center) the number to call to cancel your MyWireless classic contract is 011 993 5051. I get the impression this number has been made available solely for classic cancellations... wow, there must be quite a few.

As a side note, does anyone else notice how the guys on the helpdesk are suddenly very nice and caring? This past week has been the ONLY time they have ever asked me why I am dissatisfied with their service.

I explained why I am leaving (shoddy service for 2 years and now this, as well as problems with billing that have yet to be sorted out); and was told this is the result of market research. Really? I wasn't consulted. Was anyone here consulted? If so, did you say yes to hard caps with R 1/MB thereafter?

He said that basically "a few" users were using over half the bandwidth. So why throw the baby out with the bathwater? Why not rather just cancel THEIR contracts? Why punish me for others' abuse? I rarely used more than 2GB a month on a busy month and I was on a 128k package. What is wrong with these people?

It's such a pity. This service could have been so much more. I don't think it's the people working at the helpdesk, or the technicians on the towers, I think this is both thanks to restrictive labour and investment laws and the wrong people at the top. Simple as that.

So at the end of this month it's tata Sentech for me.
