Hi, I'm hoping an Afrihost rep can answer this...
I recently moved to a new house and discovered it's going to be a ball-ache to install Telkom lines here. So I've made another plan and for now I want to cancel my whole line. Now I have to first cancel with Afrihost, then once that's done I can only cancel with Telkom. My question is why does it take until the end of the month to cancel? What's happening during this whole rest of the month exactly? Ka-ching?
Then Telkom also has a 'notice period', so I'm going to end up paying for a line for 2 extra months when I can't actually use it even if I wanted to. Nice.
At end of the day, the few rands I save having my line managed with Afrihost is negated now because of the extra month I'm billed for (especially since I'm on a 20mbps line).
