Hi

I'm not sure of the legal rules here, but since the service has become crappy from what was fantastic I am seriously considering finding a way to cancel the contract. Is there any legal way of cancelling without paying the cancellation fees? I know it is probably my own fault for taking it but I was just so impressed at the start as gaming and downloading was perfect AND i tested it on prepaid first.

Can't we use this poor performance as a reason to cancel the contract without paying the cancellation amounts?

Also if there is no way of doing this. Can one at least cancel the midnight bundle? R199 is better than R299.

Thanks in advance.

P.s I would not even mind staying on the contract for a while if we could at least hear from SOMEONE from 8ta if this is going to be fixed. If we are stuck with this for the next 2 years I am honestly going to cry.

you may remove the midnight surfer any time to my understanding.

And if I may ask, how did you test the signal on prepaid? did you have the sim card taken off roaming or did you just use a normal prepaid sim?

why you okes crying already, at least wait it out till we have official answers from 8ta......relax these things happen

I see members here have already gone the hellopeter route I too went that route and I contacted them via facebook and twitter so before throwing the toys out of the cot just wait and see

From my understanding the problem only recently surfaced

for a Month or so, i had slow to no response on the 8ta 10 GB special, but in the past 3 days it has improved, not sure if their did something on their side as i reported the issue on [email protected]

Note: i'm in Midrand (next to Vodaworld)

The problem with 8ta is that it is Telkom.
Enough said.
+1,its not that they not aware they got nms tools & allott to monitor their network, they must come out and face the music wheres the 8ta rep now ? we need answers and a possible solution not silence and call center agents playing dumb.

I bought that go big bundle. Also works on the 8ta signal so you can test it. So yes just a normal prepaid sim from them and R150 airtime which you convert to the bundle.

I have no problem waiting for a fix. Would just be nice to hear something is all.
