hi guys,

i currently have DoBroadBand 1 (was suppose to be 2 bt telkom stuffed up again *sigh*). Anyway i was wondering, what is the best way to cancel the bandwidth part of the package, ie. keep the ADSL line but cancel the cap. Reason is i want to use another ISP, thinking of goin with cybersmart. Any advise is much appreciated. Any advise on choice of ISP is also welcomed and appreciated.

It won't be a do package anymore, if you cancel telkom as your ISP, you may have to pay much more per month if you choose to cancel.

Just use the bandwidth you pay for, which is about R85 per month, not too bad and download or browse with it.

Buy either prepaid GB's from WebAfrica or sign up for a 3GB service with them.

im thinking of doing the same thing, i ordered a 3gig premium cap from telkom but instead gave me a 1gig. i got capped yesterday i and didnt even use the full gig i used like 940mb, and only after i called them yesterday they told me i was on a 1gig package, but when they called me to do the self install they verified with me that i am on a 3gig. so i dont want to run into problems like this again. im thinking of Cybersmart as well i have used them before and had no problems and they cheap.

I am on the do1 package and was cut off (capped) around the 18th of this month, Bought a 1Gb prepaid Axxess Voucher at the Engen close by, entered the details and connected again. no stress.
