If it is within the seven day grace period they have no leg to stand on (check out 15.12 on the contract). Oh, the Orcs at the Helldesk will try to deny this, and then suddenly regain their memories when quoted the appropriate passage / period.

am awaiting instruction from sentech as to the returning of the modem

If you make enough valid complaints about the same issue that does not get resolved (most common is speed and Sentechs lack of providing what they advertise) they will allow you to cancel your contract. 4 collegues of mine have managed to cancel contracts with minimal fuss.
 
if you would like to cancel Sentech phone head office and speak to a Mr Theron.
He is head of Customer Care... He gave me the option to cancel but I didnt because I
found out iBurst was a load of ****...

I am going to ride my two year contract with Sentech and from there decide who to go next cuz right now
everyone suxs and in my oppinion sentech are the best outta of a bad bunch.
