cancelling Sentech

I have just cancelled and had one of the rudest Head of Customer experiences in my life. The man was highly uneducated saying things that NO WHERE in the universe do you get 128K speeds yet in the same breath he tells me some 128K users are getting more then 128K.

All very confusing but in the end I managed to cancel and although he never did fully tell me if I would pay cancellation fee's by them simply turning off my account as they have is a breach of contract on their side anyways so I am sure I dont have to worry.

But if thats their Head of Customer COmplaints or whatever title they have bestowed the idiot no wonder their customer care is lacking...

Anyway... Have fun... I am not sure who I will be using for inet connectivity in the next couple of days/weeks. But I know I will never EVER consider Sentech again.

The man actually spoke to me as if he were paying ME R650.00 a month and I asked him several times if this is how he deals with highly irrritated and unhappy customers...

Farking CoxStix if you ask me.
 
You sure that was the correct job title? Maybe they only have a Complaints about Customers department :rolleyes:...

who knows and who cares... right now had to dig out my ole trusty 56K dial up and funny enough it was only with email where I noticed the speed difference...

iBurst should be arriving soon...

so long sentechians... it HAS NOT been fun... except this forum :p
 
vowthorn.. how did you managed to cancel your contract??

I would love to get rid of my sentech cos since there swop over to ISnet my uploads and downloads have been insanely slow!

Do I just call and say can I please get rid of this..
 
I used LoneGunmans letter which I emailed to Casper.

I got hold of Casper at their head offices. Then I spoke to some other moron who got so flustered with me cuz I was being a real pain in the ass and he just cancelled it there and then... it was like poof no more inet :) And I dont have to pay for March :)

So "poof" gone 24 month contract.. no more payments at all.. what happens with the modem? did you return it?
 
Guys listen to this

1 year down, and a year to go on this contract. 2 modems returned already (both died) and the second time i waited 2 hrs for them to decide they giving me a new one.

p.s remember the modem is guaranteed for 12 months, so even tho i was out of my first modems 12 months, my second one (they gave me a new one 6 months ago) was also guaranteed for 12 months. so in effect it is the modem and not the contract that has the guarantee. remember that in case u have a problem. now i have a new modem with a whole new 12 month "give back for new one" modem if it breaks for the next 12 months.
 
you guys should all cancel and go back to Telkoms 15 year old technology ISDN, bring the future to you today.
 
I have returned the modem to Sentech today... so the bastards can leave me alone.... Damn was I taken for an expensive ride... I think the thing that blew my mind was Mr Theron telling me that no where in the universe do you get a true 128K connection... or speeds... Is this guy smoking their modems or what???

Real farking pain in the ass and aggressive idiot... I only became aggressive with him when he was all cocky with me... the retard... Well I am done with them and I encourage others to do the same... It's liberating knowing that I wont be paying 650 for a service that barely works...

I nailed him on the fact that the internet is the internet and I dont want to see a difference wether I got to a local or international site. If you do speak to a Ken Theron be prepared for the rudest monkey you have ever encountered in Customer Care and this guy is HEAD of customer care.

They should fire the lot... they shouldnt be where they are...
