I'm so fkn angry right now with Vodacom's slimy business strategy of making it intentionally difficult to cancel monthly recurring bills. I made the mistake of buying a monthly recurring 3GB data bundle because it was 50% off and was a good deal. I was under the impression it would take this money from my airtime but it infact adds it to the monthly phone bill.
I phoned vodacom 2 months ago to cancel this. The lady assured me she had cancelled it. Fast forward 2 months and 2 monthly bills later, the subscription is still ongoing. I tried their USSD *111# to no avail. I tried cancelling through the "my services" section of their website but I just get error 404. I tried to cancel through the 'My Vodacom' app and I found that you cannot cancel these subscriptions in the app either. I phoned their support agents and gave up on waiting after 30 minutes...
I feel like on Monday mornings the people at vodacom are figuring out how to make this process even harder each week.
Does anyone know how I can do this?
