Hey Guys,

I am going to change my service provider to Mtn from Vodacom as I signed up to one of the Black Friday deals that MTn had this past weekend.

I am due for an upgrade but my contract only expires in Feb 2017 so in 3 more months. I have paid for this current phone for 24 months now so fully paid up. I am deciding if I should cancel the contract now and pay the fee or if I should let the contract run out.
Will vodacom charge me the airtime amount for the next couple of months or will my monthly payments include the costs of the device also (so my usual monthly payments)??

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Best find out from vodacom directly, and get it in email form. Sorry know it's no help.

Thanks for the advice! I did call them earlier and I have had conflicting results when speaking to them. Some of the consultants say just the airtime will be billed and some say the full usual payment.

No surprise there they ate utterly useless

Whatever you decide make sure you explicitly terminate the contract so that no further monthly billings take place. Most contracts move to month-to-month billing when they reach term.

Easiest is to move the number to prepaid the day before the last billing cycle.

Day before give the process time
