I get the following message in the customer zone

" Please note: This service is on a contract - if the service is cancelled prior to the end of the contract, you are liable to pay for any outstanding months. "

I am not aware of any contract. I'm on 50/25 Fibre on Openserve. Recently changed to 50/25 from 20/10. Not sure if that is a contract.
Had been with Webafrica since 2015 and had Fibre for about 2 years i think.

Can i just go ahead and cancel ?

If you're on a contract, you're going to have to wait for the contract to run out.

Got the following message from Webafrica staff

Please ignore that message your service is definitely not on contract and you have had it for well over ### months so please ignore that message

They will debit the cost of the "free to use" router from your account if you cancel. So tell them to collect the router, and get your back to block their debit orders.
