My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years back (I think 2007) and she went into remission and everything appeared to be fine.

She then got really sick in June with a lung infection (confirmed not to be cancer) but I found out today the cancer did spread to her lungs.

I haven't googled it at all but I would want to know what her chances are if they caught it at the early stages? In june tests cleared her from having lung cancer...

My grandad died of lung cancer (spread to his liver etc) which wasn't caught in time.

Both of them don't smoke and never have...

Sad to hear that. I'm no Oncologist but if it started in the breast and is now in the lung (despite remission- and not even 5 years at that) it sounds to a layman like it has metastized. Hope she has a good oncologist...In my fathers case it was about nine months from diagnosis of lung cancer to the end stage- but everybodys different and there are so many treatment options.
