Gordon April, the ANC Mayor of Oudtshoorn

If it does close, it won't stay closed for long. The caves generate too much income for Oudtshoorn.

Probably a blessing in disguise.

Wasn't the caves suffering decay from the traffic it was getting? I recall reading something about it a while ago. They started to rotate the tours to preserve the caves. Something like that.

Yes

Oudtshoorn’s May by-elections have replaced the ANC dominated council with that of the DA, however the ANC refuses to step down.

Viva African democracy viva! Where they follow the rules only when it suits their agenda.

Cango Caves is amazing - need to go again.I remember going when I was about 10, when they switched the lights off, I opened a little strawberry jam container and made it rain jam.

Well done ANC on destroying yet another on South Africa's natural wonders. I am willing to bet we will start seeing other "tourist" areas being closed due to lack of funding as well soon

ANC dont care about nature. It serves no purpose to them.

The money used to support and maintain the caves will be re-purposed to provide more luxury vehicles for the ANC cadres.

Useless bunch of idiots.
