I did reset to factory settings and still the same. Looks like Telkom is selling only crap! I never had any problems like this with my old Netgear modem for the past 5 years. Unfortunately, it died a few weeks ago and so I went for a Telkom modem that their techs stop bitching about my modem when there is something wrong with the line. First they sold me that PremiumCombo which is a total piece of crap, it did not work on my Port 8080 LAN settings and their support section told me that I need a 2nd pc if I want to do something like this. So I exchanged the modem to a Mega 100WR2.
It works fine, except certain autosurf sites (money making sites) where I have to login and perform certain tasks. Either I cannot login at all or I am getting kicked out with error message "session expired". Must have something to do with timing? As said before, the sites are working fine when I use dial-up, no problem at all. But I refuse to use dial-up every day when I have ADSL!
The modem support number 0860224357 is always engaged, I am trying for days. Do I really have to go and buy myself a Netgear modem again?
