Cannot Connect 3g only getting edge.

Ive got an E230 modem which works 100% on other pcs at 7.2mbps but at home where its needed most for dealing with China I can only connect with Edge, if I change the settings to 3g only I get nothing but the MTN dealer in my area (Glenwood DBN) assures me we have brillient reception and should have no problem connecting with 3g. Is there anything I can do to boost the 3g or am I stuck paying for 3g and only getting edge?

MTN 3G not working Well

Tribal-Zone,

MTN 3G is giving alot of users hell at the moment.

DONOT , Donot change anything with your modem or PC.

Do yourself a favour and try a Vodacom prepaid Sim,

Then you will understand better whats going on.

Many 3G BTS have been disconnected.

I checked it out with a phone 4 myself.
