Anyone else maybe noticing something similar?

I've got a few clients that I've got devices at on non standard https ports. All of them is currently working fine except for one of them which is on port 445. Thought is was something at the client and really hammered the SP but then it turned out that it was my MTN connection. Worked from a normal SAIX ADSL account and I can connect fine, Vodacom 3G works fine but when I switch to my primary MTN 3G card then nothing and this started about +_ weeks back.

Anyone else having something similar? Any “wise answers” to what I can try... who at MTN would I try to explain this to?

Port 445 is used by SMB, so it's probably a good idea to change that port anyway.

The Conficker worm is currently spreading on port 445, which would explain why MTN are blocking it.

shot didn't think about that. I'll change it and see what happens. Thanks for the answer... didn't think about that specifically.

Changed to another port and it worked but I would like MTN to actually tell people when they do this.... or is there somewhere where you are publishing if you are blocking ports?
