cannot connect to IS news server

Just signed up with openweb and was told that I can use my newsreader with the IS news server. However whenever I try to connect I get ffg error :
"unable to logon.Server Response: 428 authentication rejected"
Mr Beep says never had this problem before. Any ideas guys

wat news reader are u using? are you trying to logon with a user/pass ?

You should not use any username or password. When you are on the IS network you are connected automatically.

Just check and see if your firewall/router is not blocking port 119 or the application.

Tt goes up and down all the time. You dont need to enter any authentication credentials. Just news.is.co.za on port 119. Keep trying. If you want to test just telnet into the server on 119 and see if you can connect

slightly off-topic but im capped internationally, if somebody could please mail me the installation file for a free news reader it would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
