Cannot log into any dot com stes

Please assist me I hav a D-Link DSL2500u router connected via Afrihost on a 1024 line.
Since Wednesday I cannot connect to Facebook etc. only .co.za sites. Is it Router or line problems.

If you can connect to a website then the router and line seems to be functioning. Try running a traceroute to a website to narrow down the problem.

1) Press window key + R and type cmd to open a terminal
2) Type tracert www.google.com
3) Copy the output and paste it here
4) Type tracert 8.8.8.8
5) Copy the output and paste it here

Output will show if it's a DNS issue, in that case you can change your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 to see if it works.

You can also create a dial up connection on your PC that will bypass the router settings to identify if it's the cause.

That sounds like you only have local access

These issues were related to the problems that Afrihost and Axxess had last week. I got something similiar on my axxess account. Turn router off, wait for 5 mins and turn on and reconnect. But I assume its sorted itself out since you haven't given any feedback
