Cannot open vodacom Software

Maybe all the good people of myadsl-land can help. I have a Vodafone 3g card and downloaded the software from vodacom. I installed it and it detects and install the drivers and I click on finish. If I then try to open the software on the desktop icon nothing happens. It does not open the software.
I am now using multinet but it does not support sms.
I am using xp servicepack 2
Card 3 g option

Do you have any Firewall or anti-malware apps that might be blocking VMC - I know that ZoneAlarm has a feature where one can block or whitelist applications...

Ok, for anyone else that might be using the same webcam s/w, please post details of the webcam application and if relevant the actual make & model of webcam :).
