Advance Fee Fraud

Wireless Business Solutions (Proprietary) Limited have been ignoring
abuse complaints for over a year now: for which the Nigerian Advance
Fee Fraud spammers are no doubt very grateful indeed.

So, we have crippled outboxes to 'prevent spam' and now you are being blocked because WBS servers are spamming anyway?
Fantastic!

WBS- firstly, sort out the spamming, and secondly, change your SMTP policies so that we can send legitimate mass mail.

Its a bad idea to tie your self to your ISP with your email adress. Especialy if you need to sened mass email (probably business) then you will find it much harder to leave Iburst for something better if you need to.

The problem here was, somebody on the Iburst network send out spam emails.
spamhaus.org warned them about this for a year and nothing was done. So yesterday they blocked them completely.

And when I phoned the helpdesk nobody knew about it, or they did but didnt let the correct people know.

And I was told by the techie that my mailbox is full. Thats what the problem is.:p

Well thats another problem with Iburst mail, 10mb inbox?

I see this is a seperate issue, but Im irritated that I ever started using that adress.

The five letter solution to Iburst email hassles!

I didn't know about this, but now I will move all my sending and receiving of mail to my gmail acc. I don't want to have my mail unable to deliver. that'll be crap. Good to see iburst is on top of things. A YEAR!

Off topic: have anyone ever used the mailinator?

Not going to work.. I just found this out now trying to send out an email.. spamhaus checks your PC's IP addy, at least now with mine, somehow its all been blocked and I cant send email from any account at all :( Not with Iburst but same problem, reporting it to the ISP now

You are expecting way too much from iBurst!

Be realistic guys, iBurst can’t even supply you with regular stable internet access, now you are expecting email and client service – wow, that’s asking as bit much!

In my experience it is best not to make use of their accounting department or client service, (best to make use of a third party like Tradepage) and making use of alternative DNS servers, using your own email, etc – although you paying for the service – seems they are just too incompetent to be relied upon.

SMTP issues:
**********
Can't send mail through our office authenticated SMTP... = Send an email to the helpdesk to unblock your SMTP address, include IP address - If you are still having issues after they have unblocked your SMTP server, change the outgoing SMTP port number to 587 and enable encryption (SSL), this might not work in all cases but was my only alternative.

As per iBurst site:
*************
Remember: if you're on a network only 4 mails can be sent out concurrently.
Server should be in “host forwarding mode” (NOT “DNS delivery mode”).
Server response setting set to 180 seconds.
Maximum mail size must be less than 10 MB.
Maximum number of recipients per message = 30
