Am I the only one still using Outlook Express to access the mtnloaded servers? Its the second time in a month that I cannot send emails via mail.mtn.co.za And I can't call 1555 since my data contract doesn't have a voice option on my pc.

Maybe what you meant to say was, "You cant ping MTN smtp servers". Which I can believe for:
ping mail.mtn.co.za -c 5
PING mail.mtn.co.za (196.11.240.20) 56(84) bytes of data.
