My 8520 worked perfectly untill about a week ago. I still receive all emails, but cannot send any. The menu does not give an send option, only "save draft". I resend the service books and got the sms saying than teh blackberry is registered on the network.

Any ideas. Thanks

Advanced Options - Host Routing Table, delete the items there, hard restart the phone and see if that helps

Hmm if you can't delete re-register them. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon. Click Advanced Options > Host Routing Table. Press the BB key > Register Now. Then resend your service books

OK, problem persists. Service books was resend and cellc checked everything on their side - all services active and working (everthing els works - bbm, sms, mms, etc.)

Something else I picked up:
When trying to add email addresses in "to" field, it does not bring up any contacts in my contact list as I start typing a name. Even stranger, I can reply to an email - the email gets send.

Is it maybe something else? Can it be related to the "cantacts list" not being called up, because when I reply the contact is already their (the reply email address)?

Is there a way to reset the phone to factory default - i.e. like the day I took it out of the box?

Options -> Security Options -> General Settings -> Click menu -> Select Wipe Handheld

Once the device has fully rebooted, all prior information should be erased from the device and it should be restored back to the default factoy settings.

Before I do this, anything else to try and fix problem?

I know that you said that it was all working until a week ago, but perhaps try doing a software upgrade through Blackberry Desktop. I've solved many problems using this as a solution...

Meh seen it happen, first time service books and host routing table had to be redone, restoring a working backup of the phone finally fixed it when it happened the 2nd time
