The 1DsMK3 is sharp. It's visibly sharper than the 5D:

I'm not a photoshop expert, but wouldn't comparing resized output somewhat influence the output?

All images were resized (Photoshop bi-cubic) to match the largest image, 5,616 pixels wide.

Anyways, the 1Ds mk3 had better be sharper, considering the price difference. But I can't see those test images as being any good for comparing two cameras of the same resolution.

Cant wait for Sony's full frame model. Not that I will be able to afford it immediately. But its nice to dream.

Kudus to Canon on a peach of a camera though.

Given that quite a few manufacturers use Sony's sensors - Sony, Nikon, Pentax - times will get interesting when that sensor hits the market. But I believe Samsung has a sensor in the works as well that will be in the same MP range.
