Hi Guys,

I'm having an issue with my camera after taking images with any settings/mode. its shows a pink defect in the images as per attached.

I have reset the camera and done the lens default cleaning.
its nothing with the lens because I changed them and it's still the same problem.

Please advise,
Thanks
Shak

Could be something on sensor (dust) or sensor defect, take it to local camera store they'll assist.

Yes always on the same spot
Just a wild guess here. You said you cleaned the lens, with what? Red microfiber cloth by any chance? Or when changing lenses, did you do it on a red blanket maybe? A tiny speck could have gotten into the body. Do you have one of those air bulb thingies? Hold your camera upside down and blow some air into it. Worth a shot.

nope used an earbud for cleaning it...

Check for sensor dust. I stop it down to f/16/22, turn off auto focus and take a slightly overexposed and very blurry photo of the sky. Move around, change focal lengths, and take a few photos to compare - any dots showing up in the same place will most probably be debris on your sensor. Then you can look at having it cleaned either by someone else or DIY.

Personally I use a sensor pen and a powerful blower. Do not use compressed air from a can.

I had a similar issue years ago on a d500, can't remember what the exact solution was though, google fix stuck pixel/hot pixel

Your camera wasn't exposed to any laser light by any chance? I've seen exactly this issue you are having on a camera sensor that had been exposed to laser light and the pixels on that spot had gotten damaged due to the laser light. Sadly no amount of cleaning will fix that and it's too big for the camera to remap the bad pixels. Suggest sending it away for a professional opinion and repair costs.

Same thing happened to my camera,

If you try to blow it out hold the camera upside down so that the opening is facing downwards (after locking up the mirror). Do not try to blow with your mouth, the moisture makes the dust stick to sensor, giving you an even bigger problem. A safe method is to use a bulb type blower. If you do not want to pay photo gear type prices for one then go to Dischem and get a small enema bulb, it is strangely identical to some of those sold in the camera shops.

I think this is a frozen/stuck pixel issue. Dead pixels would be black. If the spot is always red on the same spot, then it is stuck, usually come out during long exposure.

Looks like a fibre or particle stuck on the focusing screen. You can try to clear it out with a blower or get a camera store to clean \ replace it for you.

Debris on the focusing screen wouldn't show up on a photo.

That is sensor damage. A dirty spot on the sensor would not show as pink like that.

Laser light can damage the sensor that way.
