Disclaimer: I am a camera noob.
The video creating bug has hit me and I want to buy a pocket size digital camera/recorder in the next couple of months.
I want a small very good quality vlogging/camera that I can use while outside and on holidays as well as make those youtube vlogging videos if my office of me talking into it.
I did some googling and the Canon G7X mark II seems to be the most recommended camera for vlogging.
I like the flip cover so you can view the picture while filming and it has a touch screen so you can touch what to focus on. It's also nice and small so it can fit in your pocket and you looks similar to a cellphone so people around me won't feel as uncomfortable when I start playing with it.
Any thoughts on this camera?
When is the best time to buy this type of camera?
What best place locally to buy it?
Also looking for accessories like an adjustable height desk stand
Is there somewhere where I can see if it will get replaced by a newer version soon. I don't want to buy a version just for it to get replaced a month later by the Mark III.
