Hi All

Where can I D/L Linux (Ubuntu) drivers for my Canon Lide25 scanner, can't find it on the Canon support site.

EishI I still got a lot to learn......will take time.

Ubuntu's internal simple scan app did the job... saved in pdf nogal!

;) yeah - device drivers are built into the kernel, at the heart of any linux distro. massive hardware support out of the box, or available as a package - linux has really come a long way since i first lookat at it (5 yrs back).

enjoy the ride ! lots of folk on these forums have been (and are still going) though the same motions.

Canon is not very good with Linux support.

If you want to do anything serious with the scanner, you will prolly have to use windoze. I use my Canon 8800F scanner and my Canon Pixma printer from XP in a VirtualBox.

You can also check Vuescan if you want to scan images, it may support your scanner.
