Unsure whether the laser or ink tanks are better nowadays in terms of speed and economy ?

Tx, what issues did you have with the CANON

They have an ink absorber that needs to be replaced after a certain amount of use. Canon SA did not have, and it costed more than the printer. You could replace it with just a normal sponge bought online, but you need a bloody tool that only canon people have to software reset the counter.

Thanks good to know

Do HP also have this issue with the ink tanks?

Just a little FYI: copy, scan, print is normally called 3-in-1. 4-in-1 would include fax. This might help when you're searching.

I have the Pixma TS5150 3in1.
Wifi printing works well with phones and PCs. Takes 2 tanks, black and colour.
Good all round printer.
It does however feel like it chews through ink at a rate(even the XL tanks) and once you’ve bought 2 sets of tanks you’ve spent more than the purchase price of the printer. Nothing new though, consumables have always cost more than inkjet printers.
I’ve only ever owned a black and white laser printer but am convinced that over a printer’s lifetime, laser is far more cost effective.
