So I made an image of my old laptop using Acronis True Image 2013 and converted the image to a .vhd.
The first problem I came across is I couldnt boot up the VM at all using the .vhd as the bootmgr was missing. Fixed this but now Windows wont boot up and I assume it's because of the sudden hardware change.
Anyway to fix this?

Thanks.

Some VHD converters can clean up the junk and drivers to make a baremetal VHD. Also there are some tweaks dependant on which Hypervisor you are using to lessen issues. Without more detail there is little to be done ;)

Ok, the problem is just after I it finish's up with the Windows load screen and tries to go to the login screen. I get a blue screen and it resets.
It isn't working in VMware at all but works somewhat in VirtualBox not sure why though.

It's coming from a i7,8gb ram laptop
TO
a 1 CPU, 1Gb, 32bit VM setup.

What type of info do you guys need?
