Multiple different chargers tried on every plug in the house, cheap plugs, not so cheap plugs, makes no difference. I finally found a spot in my bedroom that seems to be charging them but really really slow.

Your charging cable is damaged.

By the way, why not charge directly from power banks instead of mains?
