Cant Connect to Mail/FTP sites. Help please!

Hi

Please help. I seem to have picked up a bug that doesnt allow me to access certain site e.g. yahoo.com, gmail.com. google search results

I can access other sites fine and I can get to my gmail through google talk that has https protocol.

I also cant access sites with ftp protocol.

How do I solve this problem. I've tried 'everything' I know (I know that's not everything there is!)

Which network do you use? If it's SAIX, have you tried using the SAIX proxy? cache.saix.net port: 8080

Otherwise, it's a long shot, but it could be a firewall you have running on your pc which is causing this.
