Can't make outgoing calls or send sms

Hi everyone

A very odd issue cropped up today. I've sudden'y been unable to make calls from my phone, or send sms's. I'm able to receive calls and sms's though. At first I thought it was my phone or sim, so I restarted phone, checked sim etc, to no avail.

I've just checked my mom's phone, she is also on MTN and is suffering the same problem. Either there is a problem we don't know about, or MTN has done something to our accounts? AFAIK, neither of us would be over our limits and the accounts are paid by debit order every month.

I will wait a bit to see if things come right on their own, if not, what is the right number to call? 173?

It's possible I suppose if for some reason the debit order didn't go through. Service hasn't been restored, so will have to try and find out today what is the problem. Funny thing is, if the service is suspended, there wasn't even a warning sms. Other times I've received false warning sms's from MTN stating that we were close our credit limit but when we got the bill, we were nowhere near there. Sigh
 
I've had this happen twice already... 2nd time was today. Both times I had hit my "call limit". If the line was suspended, both incoming and outgoing would be blocked. Just call 808 and ask them to increase your limit temporarily.

P.s. My credit limit after the first time was increased to R1500.. and half way through the month there is no way on this earth i hit it this time, so I chalking this down to faulty billing system again

I am struggling to unblock outgoing call barred they ask me password i try defalt pin 0000 and 1234 but no luck
 
Might be their network...
Currently calls to Botswana are not going through.
 
Please Help My Outgoing Calls Are Barred And I Can't Send SMSs But I Do Receive Incoming Calls And SMSs And The "Call Barring" Is No Longer Shown On My Call Settings...Please Help
