Cant read disk error - XBOX 360

Anyone experiencing this, when I put in new game disk in my xbox 360 it throws "Cant read disk error" how can I resolve?

i am experienceing the exact same problem and yes have heard that its the laser

i do get the game to work tho cos i open and close alota times and after a few times it works

Take it to Powercare. They'll charge you +- R600 if it's out of warranty. (They just swap it out).

do they swap the drive or just the laser ....laser replacement costs like between 250-350

I am in JHB.

Definately the laser, my 360 was doing the same, I replaced the lens last week and its fine again now, you can try and pot calibrate it, before replacing it.

This is strange as when I put in other games in drive it works fine.

what is pot calibrate ...and how would you do that

Pot=Potentiometer or Variable Resistor. Can be adjusted with a small screwdriver which changes the resistance which in turn changes the voltage.
