Can't swop out seagate HD

I have a slight problem, i have an 80 gig seagate HD, which is faulty.

Can't remember where i bought it, i was at drive control, storegate and both of them says they can't swop it out, because they didn't supply the drive.

I have checked on seagate's site and the drive only expires in 2013.

So i need some help as to whom i can contact to find out where i can swop it out.

Any help much appreciated

Just email the serial number to the various suppliers that you use and ask them to check if they supplied the drive.
 
You'll need the receipt to swop out anyway and there's a number of distributors that bring in seagate drives.
 
would you happen to know all of them, because i only know storegate and drive control.

Rectron, Asbis, Axiz, Esquire, Frontosa,

Thats if you deal with them, if you bought it through a reseller then you'll have to go through them.
 
Ingram Micro (storegate), Pinnacle Micro and probably Rectron, Axiz & Mustek, tough luck if it was Light Edge. I doubt it was Asbis.

hmm it might just be Pinnacle micro.No wait, Oracle are they printer suppliers?

i cant see why it is, usually i swop my hard drives at storegate with no hazzles, even when bought from wherever.
