Can't take it anymore - need 3G test.

Been trying to retrieve mail since 7:30 this morning.
Absolutely stuffed.
Even going on-line to try webmail is buggered.

Helpdesk sez slow browsing - nothing to do with email.
How much DO they actually know.

I would like a test from someone with a 3G connection / laptop etc.
According to coverage map, we can get GPRS only.
From double-story and external antennae if necessary . . .
. . . can I actually get 3G or better ?

Kyalami area.

Any ideas/contacts would be good.

Where exactly in Kyalami are you bud? I know very well that Kyalami Estates can receive 3.6 HSDPA and so cant the Vodacom tower that is right by the vet on Main Rd.

I live in Kyalami as well, and my phone picks up 3G HSDPA. (SonyEricsson K800i)

So I'm gonna use the phone to phone to connect once I cancel my iBurst contract.
 
Please let me know if you have any luck canceling your contract. We were once told that the cost would be something like (remaining months left on contract x monthly subscription) to get out of our contract.

Sadly, if you want to cancel your contract early, then you pay for the remainder of the contract. I had to wait for the better part of a year, and it expires in April.
 
Vorna Valley - just off Allandale, opposite Carlswald Club.
Had a chat with Chris from Poynting aerials - sez he was able to help someone else in my area - needed a high-gain antennae to get past the tall trees we have here.

First order of business is to get a mobile user up here to see if there is at least two bars showing . . . if so, we should be quite okay.
