Cap Exceeded - what now ??

I have checked my bandwidth monitor and it says that i have used over 4 Gigs, i am only on a 3 Gig account. Will i be charged an extra Gig on my next months subscription ?

You're only supposed to be throttled to 64 kbps. Perhaps you're lucky and will now have better speed

just so long as they dont have any funny idea's about deducting extra money if capped people happen to manage to downloads lots and lots of extra gigs worth, over the course of the month once their cap is reached.

I'm capped and I will not by extra bandwidth. Usage is at almost 7 gig now.

Don't waste your money till they sort out their problems, why should you pay for something they can't deliver? exactly!

No need to worry guys. They won't charge you extra. I've downloaded about 22GB so far. Their capping system works on my account.

Getting a steady 8kB/s on all my downloads. Lag is decent, I played games online all weekend and did not have a single disconect even through the rainstorm.

The only thing I am waiting for is the roll over into the new month. If all works as it should ( it drops everything, assigns me 3GB and starts from 0 ), I will be a 100% satisfied customer.

yeah being capped is liberating you dont have to watch what you download and the speeds are cool. I suggest everyone gets capped now (if you can) and then download whatever, whenever.

And yes on the 1st of May the bandwith counters are reset and you dont pay extra for anything you get over your 3GB limit

im capped and Ive been gettig 20K on some downloads.. done over 7gig so far

Yeah, i have been getting a steady 20kbp/s off edonkey since the capp too.

My total down speed with all downloads sits at 90 - 100KB/s, capped...

Strange, since the cap, I have not been disconnected and I have done 3 gigs more according to their 'daily bandwidth usage' email. Getting average of 15 kB/s since Friday and I downloaded Ultimate BootCD with Azureus @ a cool 30 kB/s. I haven't tried any P2P clients as yet.

If i multithread can get 80 to 100k.. im not complaining.. probably a shaping issue

If your speeds are great and you're capped, don't disconnect! If u do u might find yourself in my capped situation.

You won't be charged as they have messed up on their side. Seems like there is going to be this "problem" for a while. If you are still getting good speeds, don't let anyone know. Shhhhh!
