Accident causes 1km traffic jam

Several commuters were injured when the bus they were travelling in, swerved to avoid a minibus that allegedly came to a sudden stop in front of the bus, according to ER24.
The bus hit a lamppost on the pavement - leaving three people injured.
ER24 paramedics and other emergency services transported the injured to various hospitals in the durban area. The patients all sustained minor injuries.
Relevant authorities were on the scene and will be investigating the incident.
Traffic was affected to the extent that the backed up vehicles was noted approximately one kilometre behind the accident.
