With the release of 'Jessie', the newest version of Debian, where systemd is the default init system, we can't wait to hear Marc Welz's opinion on systemd, and why he has those opinions. Expect some debate!

Last thing I would wan't to listen to is another systemd debate :D

I'm actually interested to hear if there really is anything wrong with it.
I've upgraded a few machines to Ubuntu 15.04 and have done one fresh install of Jessie and none of them burst into flames or anything.

I've been using it ever since Arch adopted it 2012 & I don't have issues with it.

The linux community hates change and every single time something changes they huff & puff & throw their toys out the cot, several years later when it's all done and dusted they will start biatching about something else changing, rinse & repeat.

X11->Wayland is gonna be the next BIG cry fest.

Hey sorry don't mean to thread-jack, but I saw mention of systemd and wanted to ask you guys something.

I recently installed Ubuntu 15.04 on my home PC, and I've found that when the CPU usage hits 57%, my load average goes through the roof (7.0+). According to a few admins/devs on twitter, they've noticed something similar, and seem to think it has something to do with systemd. Was just curious if any of you guys have had any similar experiences?
