Cape Town accommodation

The missus just reminded me that we're going to CT at the end of the month - she and the kids are going to a concert and we're all heading to the US Embassy for passports and visas. Any recommendations that won't break the bank?

Edit - the concert is in Greenpoint and the US Embassy is in Westlake.

Flat Rock Suites? They're 2 bedroom apartments, self catering, about a grand a night last time I was there. Pretty modern, spacious, DSTV etc. They're located just off Long Street though, so central but busy. Could get noisy.

If you have Vitality, look at their accommodation discounts. Can often get a good deal.
I stayed at Three Cities Bantry Bay in December - nice hotel, relatively well priced.

Airbnb turned out to be a real winner. Found a great place within walking distance to the stadium.
