Cape Town: ADSL modem shopping contacts

Hi there,

I need a DLINK or Billion ADSL modem ASAP. I live in Cape Town. Anyone have a contact/shop where I can buy one like today or on the weekend without paying through the nose for it?

I picked up a Billion 5200S off the shelf at Matrix Warehouse in Illovo. Cost R449.

I must admit I couldn't find a single ADSL modem (only) in the whole of Sandton City (INcredible, PCGameWorld, Apple, etc) on Saturday. Plenty of Routers with in-built modems. Plenty of Routers without modems. Bugger all stand-alone modems.

I know there is a Billion shortage in the WC at the moment. They are getting stock on monday.

I was looking at a D-Link DSL-300T since I already have a router (not ADSL).

However, i might be better off getting that Billion ADSL2 modem you've got (considering the future progression of ADSL). I've been told it can be used as a bridge. If you have stock, then I could order, pay & pick up asap.

I have just spoken to my supplier and they do not have any stock on the Billion routers. The stock is arriving on Monday.
