I just Signed a 256K 12 month contract (that's right i BOUGHT the modem) and here are my findings....

I'm connected to the Milpark tower (12) and have great reception (42%)but have a strange observation...
My P2P speeds go at a full 32KB/s at 6pm and slow down to 4.5KB/s at 8am the next morning!!!!
And this applies to my HTTP browsing for however long i keep a P2P app open!
EG. Closing my p2p app speeds up HTTP to full speed!
And this applies to 3 different towers...
It seems ppl are confused as to what the *@#*& Sentech are doing with our connections...
Anyone else experiencing this[?][?]

So much for the regional sections.. nobody seems to be using them (like I said would happen) so maybe rpm etc should move this posts..

Anyways, Im experiencing the same thing. I get decent (good but not great) speeds at night and then at roundabout 8am things start sucking until 5pm. This has happened for the last few days.. It also applies to everything. Using http as a comparison is a bad idea since webpages are relatively small and will load fairly quickly on a dialup modem.

The thing is, when the service works as it should (the regulars knwo what I am talking about) you can download at full throttle and still browse with fairly ok performance. This is when there is sufficient bandwidth and you are capped by package not by something else..

I think they really need to get moving with their buying of more bandwidth. This is taking forever and this workaround is not really going to impress many new users..
