I have some advice for the people in cape town.

Order your contracts this week. I did mine last week friday and got it this week tuesday. that's 3 working days.

Yes, I know the towers only activate on the 19th. I did this to avoid the "mad rush" to get connected the week after the 19th.

The modem just sit there scrolling though it's lights, seaching for a signal...

I look foward to the day when i get up and the light are ON
I'm not sleeping that weekend [:D][:D][:D]

Good advice I suppose if money is no object.

I can't find on the Broadband Zone Locator, whether my area is covered. I don't want to sit with a 24 month contract and modem that is worth as much as a brick.

I would first want to know that I definitely have coverage.

I agree. Having a modem that does nothing for 24 months is not plan A. Does anyone know when/if the locator will be up and running for Cape Town?

sapphiron where in cpt are you? did you fax off your forms... and have they debited any money off your account yet ?

iv been reading every where that they are launching all over C.T. and stellenbosch. but no where did i see somerset west on the list / WHY WHY WHY if they think the ppl down here dont have the money, they need to take a drive out here.

so whats the word on the street will they be launching in somerset west?

Same problem here, I’d love to go ahead and get the modem so long but I don't know if Sonstraal Heights in Durbanville CPT is covered ore going to be covered after launch anyway.[?]

Where have you read about Stellenbosch? I have seen lists of the CT towers, but Stellenbosch was not on the list.

Isn't Sonstraal near the amanda glen and durbanville towers?

I'm in protea valley within the ranges of the tygerberg, amanda glen and the durbanville towers.

Yes they did deduct the R500 but the monthly payment starts at the end of the month anyway, so it does not cost me exstra for getting it early. Come the 19th I'm ready[8D]
