I tried to take some with my phone from the balcony this morning. They didn't come out well at all. The mountain was covered with lightning. Was amazing.

I was a little surprised at first. I love thunder storms. One of the very few things I miss about JHB is lightning.

Morkhans, thanks for posting those photos! I wished I had a proper camera on me this morning when I saw the lightning ... it was awesome. The view towards the east was also spectacular with the sun breaking through the clouds over the eastern mountain ranges. Cape Town is something special.
Pleasure. I am glad myself, would have loved to be in a position to have taken some of my own.

A real shame that I did miss it. The pics look brilliant and I love such awesome displays from Mother Nature.
But she's got to work on her volume
