A Cape Town man fell more than 15 metres to his death after he was pushed off a bridge, the Daily Voice reported on Thursday.

The 42-year-old man reportedly had an argument with his friend on Wednesday, who then allegedly pushed him off the R300 bridge near the N1 highway.

People who lived in bushes near the bridge in Brackenfell told police they had witnessed the man being pushed, according to the report.

Captain Frederick van Wyk told the newspaper that the man was from Table View.

"An inquest docket was opened... to determine the circumstances surrounding his death."

The incident reportedly caused a delay on the busy road.

How does the repoter know that it was a friend that pushed him off the bridge?

If he would push you off a bridge, I wouldn't consider the guy a friend.

Therefore he was just arguing with a dude who is a real ahole.

Friends let you down all the time, but this is ridiculous.

Well, identify the guy that has been "seen" then?

To be a prefect crime, no one should have seen the person doing the pushing.

Now the police can narrow it down:

1 - Approx. height of the person
2 - Skin colour
3 - It is 10 - 1 someone the person knew (maybe well maybe through business maybe through more shadey dealings)

See why the word "perfect" can not be used to describe this murder?

I suppose, but from a distance, that is a long shot. An even longer shot when you realise the SAP is tasked with catching the guy..

And I retract the word "perfect":D

Hijackers threw man off Cape Town bridge

Cape Town - A man who fell 15m to his death was thrown by hijackers in Cape Town and was not pushed by a friend as initially reported.

Luis de Faria, 42, was thrown from the R300 bridge near Cape Town, reported Die Burger.

His widow, Tania de Faria, 41, spoke after being informed by police that her husband’s body was found in a ditch next to the N1.

She last saw her husband when he left their Welgemoed home in her car on Wednesday morning.

“Police said the car was hijacked by two men and a woman. They then threw his body off the R300 bridge,” she said.

The couple have three children, who are said to be very emotional following their father’s death.

“A correction about his death needs to be placed. He didn’t jump. The published information is not true,” said De Faria.

According to a report in The Daily Voice, the man was pushed off the bridge during an argument with a friend.

The car, a silver Opel Zafira, was found in Kimberley on Thursday morning and three men were arrested.

Police were investigating.

Were investigating? Did they stop?
