Cape Town Mexican Restaurants

Necro time, I'm looking for options in case Panchos is fully booked tomorrow evening (they can only let me know tomorrow morning since I think they are closed today).

Cape town people which of the three Mexican restaurants below would you rate as the best

a. Fat Cactus - Gardens
b. Ponchos - Observatory
c. El Burro - Greenpoint

Looking for good food, great vibe, and reasonably prices drinks.

a & b are Tex-Mex not authentic Mexican. c is authentic-ish.

I would go for San Julian in Greenpoint. Truly authentic Mecxican food. Shop is run by a Mexican family.

San Julian is closed, even their new place Chilo is closed

They sucked. Ate there once and ordered re-fried beans. Bowl of Black Beans straight out of the can was placed on our table. Cancelled order and walked out amidst arguments in TexMex/broken English. Authentic my a$$....

There is a new El Burro in Newlands and Fat Cactus has branches in Mowbray and Woodstock(Salt river) now

The best Mexican place is actually in the winelands... can't for the life of me remember their name now.

Fat Cactus in Mowbray or El Burro in Seapoint / Newlands.
