Yup, although I'm sure the processes will be ironed out and in the meantime they are doing a 'roaring' trade, even with current hiccups.Indeed sad when one ends up being a victim of one's own success.

And when I phoned Hubble for an update, their 'support' had taken a long weekendI'm not sure how others who ordered the Hubble AM are progressing? There was a new promise by PFS last week we would have our panels by '15 or 16 June' and these days have come and gone now as well.
I already had my water heater before planning my PVs. If I had to start from scratch I think I would just spend all the extra on more PVs and more batteries.Apparently water cooled solar is where it is at?
Ah, I got a response from Hubble's National Sales Manager yesterday. She says a batch of Hubble AM2's are arriving in Joburg on Tuesday. That will be good news for some. And when I phoned Hubble for an update, their 'support' had taken a long weekend
Well, i hope my Hubble ordered via PFS is one of them . Nothing like spending over 100k and waiting for stuff (in my case entire order - 7 days since I paid) and now load shedding is back!Ah, I got a response from Hubble's National Sales Manager yesterday. Sadly, I need one unit in Cape Town. She promised me an update tomorrow, in any event.
You might have a bit of a wait on your hands. This is probably going to those who ordered a few months back.Well, i hope my Hubble ordered via PFS is one of them . Nothing like spending over 100k and waiting for stuff (in my case entire order - 7 days since I paid) and now load shedding is back!
You'll be lucky if u get your Hubble so quickly, I only received mine about 3/4 weeks after paying PFS. Now getting frustrated as I'm still waiting on my installer, inverter & battery laying waiting to be installed.Well, i hope my Hubble ordered via PFS is one of them . I dropped the cash on 16 May. Hubble promised me some action and hopefully there's be something in writing somewhere or some delivery this week, but I've been down the 'imminent delivery' path every week in June, so can't get too excited yet.Well, i hope my Hubble ordered via PFS is one of them . If only someone (PFS) told me when before I transferred 110K to themYou might have a bit of a wait on your hands. This is probably going to those who ordered a few months back.
Should have probably went with another battery to avoid the delay...

Thanks. Read that thread. Interesting.Looks like Jason had a meeting with Hubble, who agreed to set aside stock for PFS clients.

Hubble battery delivery delay.

I disagree, PFS never knew, Hubble messed up the logistics. If only someone (PFS) told me when before I transferred 110K to them

Thanks. Read that thread. Interesting.
As mentioned above, PFS could have at least bloody told me when they asked me to put down my hard cash, about the issue with Hubble so I could make a decision. They have not communicated about availability of everything else I ordered. Now I need to sit and twiddle my thumbs while everything else is available (i hope).
On this point, this is bad form by PFS, just blaming Hubble is too easy. While the problem is with Hubble, they shouldn't have taken more orders or better just been transparent beforehand. That is called good customer service.
Respectfully disagree.I disagree, PFS never knew, Hubble messed up the logistics.
I'm with you on this one Ted, when I did my install the battery I wanted was OOS and my installer let me know with 3 optionsRespectfully disagree.
I need to clarify my last comments. Actually, I was aware was a supply issue as others on this forum were talking about it, but I expected it resolved, as someone said IIRC, that all orders were going to be sorted about by last week. So I thought I was in the clear. I had never visted the PowerForum Board until your link today. Regardless, I was expecting at worst, a 2 week delay before all was delivered. If it's more than that, then ...![]()

So to my earlier post, they have first hand knowledge of how many of their customers were still waiting as probably evidenced by the number of calls/emails they received even though it's a Hubble issue (which I get - PFS have no hand it that)
Then again, maybe they were also optimistic that Hubble would get their crap together and nobody would be wiser (I do that enough in my job).
Anyway, since I operate on a wing and a prayer, let's hope that because of the ill fortunes of other PFS customers waiting for their kit, and the recent PFS-Hubble discussions, that my order of last week will be fulfilled in the promised stock Hubble have set aside for PFS.

In a perfect world, everything is possible, and everything works, first time, perfectly. Here on planet earth, we have global pandemics, chip shortages, floods that wash entire harbour infrastructures away, and resultant knock-on effects on the supply chain, which affects all players. And then we have people, the human factor, and some really special ones in SA.Respectfully disagree.

But it was never mentioned. We had great discussions on the solar panel choice.

I went to pick up my Inverter the week after I paid directly from Segen Solar's depot near the Cape Town airport. Why can't they at least provide u with the rest of the stuff in the meantime? If only someone (PFS) told me when before I transferred 110K to them
Dear Ron,In a perfect world, everything is possible, and everything works, first time, perfectly. Here on planet earth, we have global pandemics, chip shortages, floods that wash entire harbour infrastructures away, and resultant knock-on effects on the supply chain, which affects all players. And then we have people, the human factor, and some really special ones in SA.
I was also affected by all of these. I traveled to my kabookie install site no less than 4x before I got my install completely finished. First it was no roof hooks, then panels (Segen made mine disappear). And then the installer, who thought that it was ok to do the labelling with ballpoint pen, and who cut slits with an angle grinder in the imported trunking for the cables to stick out of (and another list of issues so long that I am sure it will bore you). A solar install requires good orchestration, and there will always be issues. By contrast, my Jhb install (under lockdown) went great, a few snags, but nothing that could not be sorted out quickly, and I had a competent installer.
Life is tough, those that survive roll with the punches, and give a few back on the rebound, but only to those most deserving. It doesn't help blaming the innocent.
Good question. Same was asked on PFS forum link that Ron posted. I will do the same tomorrowI went to pick up my Inverter the week after I paid directly from Segen Solar's depot near the Cape Town airport. Why can't they at least provide u with the rest of the stuff in the meantime?
I had two items outstanding from my order - the clamps, and the battery.Good question. Same was asked on PFS forum link that Ron posted. I will do the same tomorrow
