List of possible policies that CIM (Cape Independence Movement) should address, as suggested by AI after some careful questioning (from old thread) ;

12 Technical Papers CIM Needs (One-liners, no fluff)
  • Currency & Monetary Framework – Rand retention vs new currency; central bank design; inflation/FX stability plan.
  • Fiscal Viability Report – Revenue base, expenditure obligations, debt apportionment, transition financing.
  • Trade & Port Strategy – Customs regime, port management, SADC/SACU implications, tariff schedules.
  • Border & Immigration Plan – Border management, visa rules, movement of labour, residency protections.
  • Pensions & Social Grants Transition – How SA pensions, UIF, medical subsidies, and grants would be honoured or transferred.
  • Security & Policing Framework – Defence force creation, intelligence services, policing structure, crime cooperation with SA.
  • Judiciary & Constitution Draft – Court hierarchy, human-rights guarantees, language/identity protections, property law continuity.
  • Service-Delivery Continuity Plan – Water, electricity, national-grid interfaces, Eskom/Transnet relationship, telecoms regulations.
  • Minority & Cultural Rights Charter – Legal guarantees for ethnic, linguistic, and religious minorities inside an independent Cape.
  • Economic Transition Timeline – Phased independence dates, regulatory rollover, investment protections, business continuity.
  • International Recognition Pathway – UN, AU, SADC strategy; diplomatic sequencing; treaty renegotiation roadmap.
  • Municipal & Provincial Restructuring – How current WC muni's integrate into the new state; taxation and administration redesign.
(^^ one word altered in last line, to fit)

Is Phil the right leader for the now-combined groups seeking Cape Independence?

He's certainly the only one who has made people sit up and notice in recent years.
Polls are still much in favour of these attempts.
But there was his election failure - discussed at length in the previous thread, but I'm sure questions will be entertained again.
Currently people have very big policy questions, yet all Phil now appears interested in (primarily anyway) is a referendum - which some think would just be repeating known history.

Nobody else (who hasn't "led") appears available

I'm still pro Phil personally, for a while..

@NoStepOnSnek88

Do you want to have a crack at this True/False question?

You responded to the previous one.

Please repost the question, I'll try it why not. 🤷‍♂️

Always trying to coax others into your ramblings when the usuals have had enough....

@NoStepOnSnek88 exercise caution here, lest you tread on a serpent. Although not very dangerous, a bite from this serpent can nevertheless lead to mild irritation.

@ Oom Rojara, thanks for looking out for me.
It almost warms my blood :p.

Lex is alright in my book. There are many other users that are waaaaaay more irritating, ignorant and arrogant than him, he doesn't even make the "list,"

BTW @Brian_G is the true unsung hero of this thread. :p

Oh absolutely, I agree with you. I don't have a problem with Lex at all, I find him quite entertaining. Otherwise I wouldn't frequent this thread, lol.

It's just ill advised to attempt a coherent conversation with him.
