Anyone else experiencing the problem?

Seems Capitec website is down. I couldn't access my profile on my phone or on my PC.

It seems they know about it as I now get this on my PC.

Phoned them today asking about more info before opening an account. They should really employ call center staff familiar with the concept of "interest". Don't know how you guys deal with this...

I dont get the facination with Capitec, isnt it like buying a Tata Indica or something? I don't feel happy to run my financial life through a mickey mouse company to save a few rand.

I once went into a branch to enquire about accounts, and they ask too many questions. They asked who do i work for, and i say the name, and they couldn't pick it up, so they want my employer to go and register with them as one... Imagin...

If i want to buy something with my credit card or cheque card overseas, i just do it. I read about all the problems people are having? We put up with it?

Competion in this industry is good, and to start out, setting up your own bank, and get users, great! But maybe it is for certain people only... I'm a happy blue bank customer.

I'm with both SB and Capitec and think Capitec is great in that it is turning the banking sector inside out in regards to cost, operating hours, value for money etc..

You should maybe check some of the facts as they are definitely no Mickey Mouse operation.

Definitely not Mickey Mouse. I bank with both FNB and capitec, I use the fee saver with FNB otherwise I would exclusively be with capitec. I personally use it because of the day to day account receiving at least some interest.

I might be a different type of customer than you, but I find notion of having my bank sponsor a stadium with my money sickening.
Also I had no such problems with Capitec, only thing they wanted was proof of residence.

LOL at their stupid advert,

I have the exact same reasons.
