Capitec interest theft

I wouldn't mind a situation where I could take a cent or two from every account at a bank monthly.

Like the 24 hours it takes an EFT to go between banks? ;)
Loooooots more moola to be made there

People have no issue with 3c it seems, if so can everyone send me 3c? There was that scandal a while ago where they were skimming the decimal after cents into an account which ended up quite large...

Don't hate but it's what we do with your airtime ;)

MMM is what you're looking for :p

So what if they did it again next month and the month after? What if it was 5c? What if it kept going for 20 years?
Wouldn't that add to more money?

What if it was R20 instead? Or R100?

The value doesn't matter, it's that the system is at fault, which is what the complaint/this discussion/thread is about.
Like they explained they calculate interest on a daily basis. No other bank gives you a transactional savings account. If he does have a problem with it then move to a different bank...

EDIT: he can save 40c on the SMS fee by disabling the feature if he is so strapped for cash.

Yes, he got an explanation. That was the point.

Damn what is the world coming to. Short sightedness everywhere!
As explained before, it's not about the 3c.

You did indeed catch the bank stealing money, as you had initially alleged.

Nothing wrong with checking, although time / effort for 3c doesn't make sense except for the principle of the thing.

My verdict - worth it.
