Capitec SMS notifications not working?

Hi

I made a few transfers yesterday but still haven't received any sms notifications.
Anyone else have the same problem?

Usually it goes comes through almost immediately, but I still haven't received anything.
Even recieved a notification from the bank I transfered to that the money is in, but nothing from capitec since the 26th July actually.

I got my SMS notification instantly when I paid my rent yesterday.

Perhaps it is below your threshold for the notification to kick in. My minimum amount is R500 before they send me a notificatioln

also paid my rent and other big stuff as well
my min is R100 lol

Mine is R100 so maybe just check yours rodga.
Haven't had any problems with SMS notifications myself.

Only The Big Spenders set the limit at R500

I tried to change mine to R20, but it will only allow R100

hahaha. I swop my card for everything ... so did not want a SMS for every little thing I buy.

I hate going into shops so its easier to send them, so its backfired on me a bit.

What phone do you have?

Some phones smart phones lock up the if they do not have 3G / 2G coverage and this can causes SMS's not to be received on the device as they often share the same hardware for 3G/2G and SMSs.

I've had this problem many times before where I was working in Somerset West and the local tower would drop its 3G signal altogether, making the phone I was using to test SMS services useless.

Sometimes you need to make an outgoing call or do a full power cycle to unblock it.
