Capped Bandwidth Faster

Hi,

I have already reached my cap. The international bandwidth was dreadful. However when i reconnected this afternoon, I noticed that my http speed is quite a bit faster. At least I can browse.

Has anyone else noticed a difference?
 
well i have dled about 30gb's and im still dling at 50+k in the day and night my adsl is always fast i just hate the port caps

I was not able to connect all day long - only after 20h00 this evening. But i noticed an improved speed in surfing even for nights and also some downloads.

Gaming still useless though.
 
yes my capped speeds have gone from the normal 10kbits up to almost isdn speeds of 62kbits!!! its incredible i can finally use my adsl at the end of the month!!! It could just be a mistake of course...but maybe telkoms being a little less stingy on the bandwidth throttle?

no actually im fairly certain its just a mistake.[}:)]
 
Maybe someone at Telkom just forgot to close the tap.

I also seem to get 62 today. Would be nice if i could play a few games with that. It seems that the port prioritisation is still no better though.

lol all my friends says im a lucky bugga they all also got adsl but i heard from quite a few ppl that mweb got a lil more bandwidth than other isps and that mweb enforces a cap but it doesnt work :P thats stuff i heard from a few ppl also with mweb
 
when i logged on to the network this afternoon, i found that i cannot browse any international sites, when i called telkom they told me that i as capped, and the best of it all is that i have only had my adsl for 6 days.

I know that there are assh*les out there that steal usernames and then use it for themselfs, but in my case, all default usernames and passwords have been changed. and according to my router i have only downloaded 485Meg, I have to say that i am VERY DISSAPOINTED with ADSL. And the best is that the fingerpointing has started, telscum is blaming the ISP... [V]
 
check your incoming traffic log, the DNS server from telkom is causing a huge amount of traffic. here is my log,
196.43.1.13 DNS 165.165.1.## 32768 UDP 1420KB 08/31 18:28:04
the source is 196.43.1.13 protocol DNS

i rebooted my router and 2 minutes later this i.p address has already generated 1,4M of traffic to me.
