This is a strange one..

I connected a client to adsl last week via Lantic ISP.

Received a call today from client saying they were unable to access anything, www, mail, nothing.

Checked the router, adsl was up, ppp was up and client details were correct.

I was only able to access www.telkom.co.za which usually means cap has been reached no ?

Then I was able to check userstats and only a quarter of the limit has been used.

Is it possible client has been capped in error ?

ISP support says it must be client logging on as guest but I checked the router and the username and password are definitely the clients.

Have I missed something ?

What happened to me is that 4 days after I was happily surfing the internet from my newly activated ADSL line, was that all of the sudden I couldn't access anything but the Telkom website, just as you described.
Eventually, I learned that my ADSL line had been switched back to inactive for some reason, and I had to call Telkom to reactivate it.
What I noticed is that while my ADSL line was inactive, it was synching at 4 megs, instead of 384k (which is what I am subscribed for). Maybe check that first, if your client is not running a 4 meg line.
